Edinburgh - 2 nights

Work in progress!!!!!!

Location, Location, Location

Well here we are in Edinburgh in a lovely apart-hotel overlooking the Moray firth and only 5 mins from the location of tomorrow's seminar "Investing in EVs" - see http://www.e-cosse.net/events/event-registration/?ee=7

It was great to awake up and gaze from our aparthotel window, on the Firth of Forth, with a clear view of the entrance to the Leith docks.  Lucky enough to see a very passive looking frigate being towed into the dockyard.  However, yet again an early start - no time to stop and stare - I had to wash the road dirt from yesterday 260 miles dash.   Rearrange the exhibition stuff - out of side - and all personal stuff removed!

Fortunately, we were no due until 9 am, so I was able to enjoy breakfast

On Display at Scottish Government HQ building

I was duly met by Gillian Milne from Transport Scotland and directed to the agreed parking space right under the Portico of the Scottish Government HQ, at Victoria Quay in the heart of this historic dockyard.  I've been to Edinburgh many times, going decades, but Leith was not a corner of the city that we would have considered visiting.   However, it is certainly a model city for urban/ docklands rejuvenation.  There are lots of stunning building being retained and an almost equal number of dynamic modern buildings!

The Mitsu was looking pretty cool in the long shadow of the early morning - the St Andrew and St George flags were showing their full colour!   The WAVE banner was also on full show - outlining the WAVE principles!  Not to mention the planned 2000+ mile route!

PLACE HOLDER - No time to complete back soon!

Touring Edinburgh (p.m.)

Highland Charge makes a call at the Scottish Parliament - it was on Easter Break!

This is what Edinburgh folk consider to be a good short range EV!
